Revitalised Water improves results for a well-known farrier |
Alan Bailey, the internationally renowned farrier, has already achieved impressive results with his approach to oblique knee syndrome. But even he has been astonished by the rate of change in Spring Gift and other horses from the stables of Felicity Wilson, the animal healer. “I have never seen a horse make such rapid improvement as I have seen in Spring Gift”, explains Alan, “nor one where the quality of the improvement has been so remarkable”. When asked to explain what aspect of horse management had changed, Felicity mentioned that she had recently introduced Grander Water technology which revitalises water. Spring Gift spontaneously began to drink double the quantity of water. | | | In the initial six week shoeing period Spring Gift had grown twice the expected quantity of horn, and the quality was excellent. This meant that the remedial farriery could make an impact more quickly, to contribute to Spring Gift’s recovery. Before arriving at Felicity Wilson’s stables Spring Gift had recurring problems with a suspensory ligament injury and had been prescribed a further year of rest. As he was a very reluctant drinker, he was proof of the old adage that “you can take a horse to water but you can’t make it drink”. However as soon as he was offered Grander Water he started to drink enthusiastically, and within 3 weeks was back to trotting. His dramatic recovery continued and now, one year later, he is fully recovered and has been bucking and jumping with no sign of the recurring lameness which had afflicted him in the past. |
 | | “Spring Gift has continued to grow excellent horn each time I see him, and the improvement in his health always impresses me”, continues Alan. “All the horses I see from Felicity who are drinking Grander Water also have very good horn quality which enables their route back to health to be more rapid” | Information on Alan Bailey Alan Bailey was invited to speak on Oblique Knee Syndrome by the International Podiatry Center in January 2007. He quoted Spring Gift as a case study at 18th Bluegrass Laminitis Symposium in Kentucky. His approach includes the use of the Elliptical Bar shoe. Alan Bailey, AWCF, is on the editorial advisory panel of “Hoofcare and Lameness, the Journal of Equine Foot Science”, a specialist US publication. |
